He has worked all his professional life in the tourism/hospitality industry, working at several local resorts after his initial training in St. Lucia. In 1981, he pursued his first degree in Tourism/Hospitality Management at the Bahamas School of Hospitality Management. He graduated with a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Florida International University in 1986 and went on to work in middle management at Carambola Resort on St. Croix. In 1988, he joined the BVI Tourist Board as Sales Manager of the San Francisco Office. He served as Director of Tourism from 1989 to 1997. In September of 1997, he established Oyster Global Marketing Group, parent company of Oyster Publications.

Rahel is a marketing and communications specialist. She joined Oyster Global Marketing Group in 2006 when she moved to the BVI. Her career began in 1998 when she joined Sony Europe, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation, in The Netherlands, as a Customer Relationship Management Specialist responsible for direct marketing and communications to consumers via the Internet. She subsequently joined Olympus Netherlands as Marketing and Communications Manager in 2003.

Rahel holds a Bachelors Degree (BA) in International Management and Marketing from the International Business School of Groningen, in the Netherlands.
